This is a cavesson noseband, fitted in the same way but with an additional lower strap which is attached to the front of the noseband. This strap should pass well above the nostrils at the front of the nose, and should be fastened below the bit like a drop noseband.

In some types, the cavesson is padded for extra comfort.

A standing martingale can be used by attaching it to the back of the cavesson.

You should be able to fit two fingers between the noseband and the front of the horse's face.
The flash noseband has an additional lower strap attached to the front of the noseband.
