Sophie Moultrie, 17, is a Member of the Old Berkley Hunt Chilterns Branch of The Pony Club, and recently won the junior section of the hotly contested British Dressage Talent Spotting with an impressive 10 point lead!!
We caught up with Sophie for a quick chat about her recent success and Pony Club life.
Q: What Branch of The Pony Club are you a Member of? A: Old Berkeley Hunt Chilterns Branch
Q: What age did you start riding and when did you join The Pony Club?
A: I started riding at around age 7 and I joined The Pony Club when I was 12 years old.
Q: What is/was your favourite Pony Club Activity?
A: I really enjoy all the team training sessions in general but also love competing on the bigger occasions such as Area Competitions.
Q: Did you ever go/ have you ever been to The Pony Club Championships, if so how many times and in what disciplines?
A: Unfortunately, I have never been to the Championships but there is still time as I'm only 17 years old!!
Q: Did you ever go / have you ever been to The Pony Club Camp and if so what's you favourite memory?
A: Yes, I've been to camp! I really love it in general but particulary enjoyed the musical rides we did for our parents to watch.
Q: What do you think The Pony Club can do for young riders?
A: The Pony Club teaches young people about riding in great detail and most importantly how to care properly for your horse.
Q: Do you have any Top Tips?
A: Always take a positive out of every experience!!
