Jessica passes Her Equipment Safety Achievement Badge!

Hello again,

This week at Pony Club in Stable Management we were doing our Equipment Safety Achievement Badge. We had to look in our hats and body protectors to see what safety standards they had. Then we had to explain about why it is important to be safe around ponies and to always were a hat. We all got the badge!

Then we went for our riding lesson with Fiona. This week I was on Morgan. We started off walking around and then did some trotting practising our diagonals and doing twenty metre circles and whole ride trots. Then we did lots of canter practise we even tried doing twenty metre circles in canter for the first time. Morgan did quite well but she didn't want to canter so I really had to push her. I need to try not slightly lean forward in canter to because I sometimes do.

At the end of the lesson Fiona told us what we had improved at and what we needed to work on. She said I was getting really good at cantering but I needed to try not to lean forwards slightly. She also told me to keep an eye on my diagonals.

I really enjoyed Pony Club this week and I really liked the cantering!
