Georgina Focuses on Show Jumping.

Hi everyone,

Showjumping Rally (Grid Work)
I did a jumping rally on Saturday 26th May with Lisa Oram. We did some grid work which is jumping a combination of jumps with one or two strides in between each fence.

I was in a group with my friends Charlotte and Megan. We started with just one jump, then Lisa added more and more until we got up to five jumps! Lisa started off with easy cross poles to warm the horses up but we finished with an upright, a spooky filler, another spooky filler, a spread and then a wall.

Bobby was a bit scared of the filler at first but he was fine after a few goes. Charlotte’s horse is only young and he is a lot bigger than Bobby and Megan’s pony so the striding was quite short for him. At first he knocked a few fences down but eventually shortened his stride and jumped really well at the end. Megan’s pony was also a bit spooky but flew after a while!

All of the horses were really good and at the end jumped brilliantly. We all had a great time!

Showjumping Rally (Course)
On Saturday 2nd June I had another rally with Lisa Oram. This time I was with my friend Alex. We were at the same venue as the grid work week but we jumped a course this time.

Bobby was amazing and jumped brilliantly - I was really pleased with him! Both horses jumped well and Lisa got us jumping related distances, spooky doubles, dog legs and massive uprights! I really learnt a lot and enjoyed the lesson.

Bye for now, Georgina xxx
