Carrington Riding Centre Members Raise £1010 for Charity!
Carrington Riding Centre Pony Club Members have worked very hard towards their Fundraising Badges. By the end of last year they raised a grand total of £1010 which was divided between the North West Air Ambulance and Christies Foundation Trust. The money was raised during five weeks of making posters, cards and Christmas decorations. They held a charity night where they offered the "grown-ups" horse riding lessons and stable management sessions and sold their crafts along with cakes.
Lynn Norton from Carrington Riding Centre said "We were overwhelmed with the support from parents and riding school clients. Instructors from Carrington even auctioned an hour of their time, and our own Pony Club Instructor, Robyn, received a bid of £80!".
Carrington Riding Centre have also had a new arrival of "Othello" the mechanical horse. Pony Club Members have already had a fabulous simulator night where even the smallest were able to test out Othello's paces. Everyone received a computerised printed assessment at the end and had a terrific time.
