Jessica Passes Her Grooming Mini Achievement Badge!
Hello again,
We were going to be doing our Public Speaking badge this week at Pony Club but Jennifer was still off so we have to wait till next week to do our badge. Instead of doing the badge we were all put into pairs to groom a pony. Ellie and Katie went together and so did me and Esmee.
Me and Esmee had not yet done our grooming badge and Ellie and Katie had so Sally said it would be the perfect opportunity for me and Esmee to do our Grooming Mini Achievement Badge. It turned out me and Esmee would be doing a badge after all! All we had to do was groom a pony correctly Sally watched us while we groomed Lexi and she said we did a fab job which meant we passed with flying colours!
Then it was time for our riding lesson with Blyth again. This week I was on Geo. Blyth said that this week she would like to get some jumping practise in! First we had to warm up by doing some walking, trotting and cantering. Blyth put some trotting poles out and we had to go over them in our jumping stance. Then Blyth put up a small cross pole that we could trot over, me and Geo popped over it easily. The Blyth made the cross pole a bit bigger we trotted over that too.
Next Blyth wanted us to canter over the cross pole. Geo and me did our canter transition and we went flying over the jump again. Finally Blyth put up a big straight you were meant to canter over it because it was quite big and when it was our turn I urged Geo into canter but she would not budge! We ended up trotting over the jump so it felt like we were going so high! We did the same jump again and the same thing happened to me and Geo. Lazy Geo! Then it was time for the lesson to end.
I am now helping out at Wellsfield every Saturday from 10.00am till 4.00pm so that should be fun! Overall I had a great lesson and I am very happy that I got my Grooming Badge!
