Hello again,

This week at Pony Club in Stable Management we had a surprise because Sally told us we were doing a badge. We were doing our Pony Behaviour Mini Achievement Badge.

We had to all sit in the tack room and we were given a piece of paper to write down all the types of pony behaviour we knew and what they meant.  We all came up with loads of things like bucking, rearing, ear signals, eye signals, whickering and loads more stuff. Sally talked to us about the things we had come up with and then we all went into the office and were given our badges. We were all very proud. My badge is now on my Pony Club Sweatshirt next to my Road Safety Badge.

Next we all went round to the arena for our lesson with Blythe. This week I was on Sugar. I had never been on Sugar before and I was a bit nervous as she is quite big but she is a lovely pony! We walked around and practised halting and then we all took turns to trot. Sugar has an amazing trot and it felt really smooth she is great. Then we did a whole ride trot, we did some figures of eight's and some twenty metre circles. We trotted for so long my bum was sore by the end! Sugar was doing really well.

We did some trotting poles and then for the last ten minutes Blythe said we could do games. Me and Jennifer raced first and Jennifer won. Then Ellie and Katie raced and Katie won. Next Katie and Jennifer raced and Katie won. Finally Esme and Katie raced, Esme won. Then Esme and Katie did a canter race it was very exciting and Esme won again.

Then it was time for the lesson to end.

I had a great time at Pony Club and it was very interesting to ride on Sugar.
