Wokingham Hunter Trial at Tweseldown
HiOn Mothers day Bobby and I went to Tweseldown to compete with other pony club members in the 2”3-2”6 cross country class. It was our first one of the year so we started with a small class.
I warmed up with my friend Alice on Cadbury who was on straight after me. Bobby was great in the warm up so we went to have our tack checked and say hi to a few people we knew. I was number 41 and Alice was 42.
My number was called for me to start and I trotted out of the start box to number one. Bobby flew round the course, and we had a great jump over logs, tyres, water, doubles, a ditch, rails, brush etc. There were 22 jumps over a long, winding course and I nearly lost my way! But Bobby refused at number eight (a sharks teeth jump) because he decided to nap and swerved away which was cheeky of him! But I didn’t really mind as I had a great time and it was only really a starter course ready for this year!
Bobby and I finished hot and sweaty- but with big grins on our faces! I didn’t come anywhere in the end but never mind! It was quite a big class. Overall it was very fun and I can’t wait for my 2”6-2”9 at Tweseldown in a month!
Bye for now,
